The late Ahmet Ertegun and George Treadwell founded The Drifters brand back in 1953. The plan was revolutionary – to constantly change the line-up of the group, to keep them fresh and inspired. They’ve certainly stuck to their guns having featured more than 60 vocalists over the decades. These include icons Clyde McPhatter, Ben E King, Rudy Lewis and Johnny Moore. And as if to prove their point, the group have sold in excess of 214 million singles and 114 million albums worldwide to date.

The current line up is proud and honoured to be the latest chapter in the Treadwell dynasty and uphold the musical and performance values instilled by Treadwell and Ertegun.

The Legacy lives on….
