Robert John Godfrey

To Stand Down From Live Performance

With The Enid

Founder and keyboardist with The Enid, Robert John Godfrey will play his last live UK show with the band on 2nd April at The Cadogan Hall, London.

Godfrey was diagnosed with early stage Alzheimer’s in 2014 but has continued to write and tour with the band. He will still work with the band running their fan club and will attend some of the live shows in that capacity, as well as making some guest appearances.

Robert comments “Ideals are like the stars that guide the mariner. I have lived the life I wanted to live, and the one that suited me best.” He goes on to say “The time has come for me to cross the footlights and devote myself into building our wonderful fan club, The Enidi, into a force to be reckoned with. I still have a few things up my sleeve before the sun sets upon my life’s work.” Robert intends to spend some time in Germany and he will write his autobiography in conjunction with recording and his fan club duties.

Zachary Bullock will take over keyboard duties, joined by Joe Payne who will also perform keys where needed.
