From 19th October, Saxon fans will be able to download the previously unreleased track ‘I’ve Got To Rock (To Stay Alive) featuring guest appearances by Lemmy Kilmister (Motˆrhead), Angry Anderson (Rose Tattoo) and Andi Deris (Helloween).
Saxon will then release a live double DVD set To Hell and Back Again and re-release their studio album Unleash The Beast (with bonus tracks) on 19th November 2007 on SPV/Steamhammer.
To Hell and Back Again features two DVDs with over 5 hours of footage. The first disc is a documentary featuring the band’s life between two albums, including the Lionheart studio recordings, heaps of clips from the subsequent tour (taking in Kiel, Graspop and WOA 2004 festivals as well as shows in London, Glasgow, Paris, and Pratteln, among others.) The second DVD features full length versions of all songs from the first, including 747 (Strangers In The Night), Wheels of Steel, Strong Arm Of The Law, Crusader, and of course To Hell and Back Again featuring the special guests listed above. Also included on DVD 2 is an additional two songs from the Rock For Asia show, cuts from a live show originally broadcast on Swiss TV and a live duet by Biff Byford and Doro Pesch (performing the Judas Priest classic, ‘You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’). A bumper 3 hours of Saxon
Unleash The Beast, Saxon’s thirteenth studio album, was originally released in 1997, and was recorded with the current band line-up. The re-release features two bonus live tracks Crusader (live) and Solid Ball of Rock (live), recorded in Germany on the "Dogs of War" 1995 World Tour, liner notes from singer Biff Byford, and a new booklet design with unseen photos and memorabilia.

Formed in 1976 in Barnsley, Yorkshire, the band released their first album in 1979 and had scored 4 top twenty hits by 1981. They went on to have 8 top 20 UK albums within the next 10 years including the mega selling Wheels of Steel which hit number 5 in 1980 and their double platinum Denim And Leather (1981). Tours of America, an appearance at the Monsters Of Rock festival at Castle Donington, and the live album The Eagle Has Landed (1982) (according to Melody Maker “one of the best live recordings of the decade”) followed. To date Saxon have sold over 10 million units worldwide, released 26 albums and are still going from strength to strength.
Saxon play at the HardRockHell Festival at Butlins in Minehead, Somerset, on 9th November 2007.
